Warmer Today, Cooler Friday

Dan Bickford

A cold front will cross the Southeast today, eventually ushering in another round of chilly air.  We should get in one round of milder temperatures this afternoon before that cooler air takes over.

As northwest winds pick up behind the front, another round of snow showers will be possible in the mountains tonight into early on Friday, especially in the higher elevations along the Tennessee border.  Only a few clouds should get over the mountains and into the Upstate.

Mostly sunny skies should prevail area-wide by Friday afternoon, with unseasonably cool temperatures settling back in.

The weekend should be sunny with cooler than average temperatures continuing.  Look for our next cold front to arrive by Monday night of next week, bringing a slight chance for rain showers to the Upstate, and a chance of rain or snow showers to the mountains again.
